I take FLIGS literally, as Pseudolonewolf told us to. After reading his passage, I felt a surge of negative and depressed emotion; hence, F-. And the language seemed off, so I used that one. It's a reaction system, not a system for analytical dissection, so I feel it should be based on initial perception and not carefully constructed reponse. ...but this discussion doesn't belong here, and I understand your feelings (and his), so I'll assent to your suggestion and remove my negative FLIGS (by making them... positive).

And as another person who has attempted suicide (twice), I sympathize; talking definitely helps. My condolences, sir... and that stupid ice-and-salt garbage is infuriating. So many people with life-long scars and hospitalizations, because of a posed 'internet challenge'... it's maddening. x.x

I actually liked 4e- I feel it stripped away all the obnoxious mechanics, so imagination could finally rule the game. I'm definitely a 'roleplaying first, fighting/micromanaging layer' style of player- nothing much involving complicated systems (grappling rules can go and die) entertains me. I love purity; thus, 4e was a breath of fresh air. I play a 3.5-4e hybrid, in any case, keeping my favorite aspects of both.

And I'd love to join...! Just PM me any details. I've experience DMing and PCing, so I shouldn't be too much of a burden...! x.x

Skype is an option, as well, if we want greater immersion and legit dice rolls. Further, there are lots of programs online that simulate a D&D room, and do public die-rolls in front of the group (or just the DM, if it's a hidden roll to begin with)

I'd like to complete the Pokedex...! Seriously. First thing I decided to dedicate my life to- at the venerable age of seven. When I got titillatingly close in Pokemon Yellow- but lacked a trading cable! So my dream was thwarted; my friend and I couldn't evolve our Kadabra, Machoke, or Haunter! Tragedy. Nowadays, even though trading is wireless, there are so MANY of the buggers...! Surely, it'll take the rest of my life to fulfill that accomplishment.

Other than that- my goal in life is to have as much fun as possible without bothering other people's lives. Ideally, on the way to fun and fulfillment and 500+ Pokemon, I'll be HELPING people! For that'd be extremely lovely. And hopefully I'll find that, too- the lovey stuff. I don't believe in a single 'perfect' match; I've already loved a couple times, and look forward to many more intoxicating, enlivening, and pleasureable relationships with the opposite sex (and maybe the same- I try to keep an open mind!).

I... no longer get much pleasure from visiting this site. Which makes me awfully sad; as I love Fighunter...! I've been hunting figs since Pseudolonewolf first posted a game about hunting figs, where we never actually got to hunt a fig! But that was... seven, eight years back? Anyway... I've seen each generation come and go, and miss the oldest generation. Kneuronak, Brisingr, Ryn- wait. I was Ryn. Good times! :D

The entire site just feels alien, now. It's become another stereotypical slice of the internet. I don't find much uniqueness here, anymore- I share the majority of Pseudolonewolf's sentiments. It's not that the *people* are *bad*, or anything of that sort; I just don't like the general randomness and sexual tension/flippantry that's invaded the place.

Ugh. I haven't gone on chat in seven months... I should poke in. I've been gone foreverz- maybe it's a whooollleeee newww woooorrrlldddd~

...still love the interface, though! Bubbly-bubbly-wubbly! It's quite glorious. :3

Er... as someone who's suffered Depression, I can say that these sorts of feel-good responses and tales of personal glory aren't helpful. They generally make Depression worse, if they have any effect, as they arouse feelings of inadequecy in the recipient of the monologue. The best thing to do for people who suffer Depression is to show empathy, without judgement and diagnosed 'treatments'. JUST empathize- the rest we figure out by ourselves.

I do appreciate the seniments, mind you...! I hate to seem cold. But I wanted to assert the above strongly... it's very important to approach fragile people in an equally sensitive manner. :")

I think of society as the general human conciousness; and EVERY human contributes to that society! Invaluably! We're all a tiny, whirring mind, in a hive of another seven billion whirring minds- we form a gangly, whirring blob!

I am serious, please note. All humanity is a single, united being, minus the clinically insane*. We are progressing closer and closer to that societal nucleus we're destined to become- or die *trying* to become. And, no, I'm not preaching some religious hooey; I just have incredible optimism/faith in humanity, and our capacity for love suggests great possibility in every life.

But, er... the poll! Yes! THAT thing!

We all contribute because we're all a unique combination of genes, grit, growth, and postnatal genetic transformation. We contribute to humanity by existing (as long as we're not clinically insane*) and rubbing off on other human minds, which rub off on *other* human minds, which- y'know- Butterfly Effect.

*I struggle day in and day out with what to do with the clinically insane- mostly serial killers, serial rapists, and diagnosed sadists. People who revel in the mass torture and suffering of other human beings. I once classified them as entirely inhuman- refuse, to be discarded. But doesn't that make me their equivalent, in a morally relativistic way? Then I said that- yes- they're human beings, but killing/eliminating them saves ample lives; so, quantitatively, it's moral. And now... now, I just don't know. They're born (and generally nurtured) in ways that create their nightmarish existence- can we blame THEM? Can we arbitrate justice so wantonly? Would they exist in the first place, if we eliminated the environments that birth them? CAN we? Ugh. These questions keep me up at night. I'm an incredibly sensitive person, nowadays... so discarding life seems unthinkable.

But all the other options are equally unthinkable.

I think this website is severely sexist... in the opposite way, however. Women here are glorified and- as Perturbed Crow noted- put on pedestals. Many of the people here are starved for contact with the 'other' gender, by virtue of introversion, leading to idolization of that gender. Girl members immediately are hailed with positive affinities, blurbs, and FLIGS (so long as they use grammar). The sexism is rampantly in *favor* of female members. I did a rather crude statistical study on the advantages of female members a few months back- I might do another, sometime soon, to substantiate this rant. ...meep. o.o

I'm absolutely in love with Fallout and Fallout 2; which are 'retro games' in a loose sense (although you seem to mean ├╝ber-retro). That's... about the extent of my commentary. Yus. x.x

I've known a vast array of girls- some who have absolutely no libido (who are functionally asexual) and others that are nymphomaniacs (undiagnosed, but- again- they fit the fundamental mold). It is impossible to generalize. However, I do think the more interesting thing to discuss is the repression of female sexuality; throughout history, the male hierarchy has told women they *shouldn't* feel sexual urges. Most males *today* still think women don't masturbate- the silly tykes! I've found that the more liberal, intelligent, and feminist a female friend is, the more libido they tend to have (with only one prominent exception).

Further, the female orgasm is much more intense than the male orgasm- the two don't even compare, in the slightest. Most of my female friends who've been given bona fide orgasms by their male partners have become extremely interested in/addicted to sex.

There aren't any generalizations that apply, again; but a discussion of this requires discussion of the meta-psychology that has led society to play down female sexuality. As, er, humans are sexual thingies. Yus. o.o

Pseudolonewolf, your own mental health should come above all things. I respect you immensely; you're one of the most emotionally sensitive people I've ever met, which makes you tremendously beautiful as a person. Preserve that beauty; I won't give advice on how, as it's quite silly to give advise where it's unfounded, uninformed, and unwanted. Just know... well... you're tremendous. Positively and wholly. And I apologize if I've ever contributed to your stress, somehow... take care of yourself. You don't consider me a friend, but I consider you one.
