Thanks Pseudo, for giving those of us still hoping to become beta-testers, a re-assurance there is still a chance. :)

Can't wait for Miasmon, and you all must be working hard with all the beta testing, so I wish you good luck, and hope you may find some enjoyment in it too!
Forum: How " socially normal" are you?

On the scale, I think I'd be around 31-40. The reason is that I prefer to lurk around my computer rather than walk around malls and parks. Although i'm often presented with the opportunity to go out, I usually only go out, when I'm seeing an old friend or some visiting, or nearby relatives. So basically reason I put myself into the 31-40 rating is because, i'm not socially active, but I still have the opportunities to be, but find it difficult to go certain places, or prefer to stay home instead.

The examples mean nothing, only to give you an idea, of how a person might be within that social rating, hence the armada of pointless -ETC's- and the end of each example.

Sharing the details of why you think your personality fits into the rating you picked would be appreciated by me, and I really wanted to see just how many of you guys might be around the same zone as me.

NOTE: I know its probably not the most accurate scale, but hopefully most of you might understand how it works.

Well, I'll be honest. I really want to be a beta tester, as so do many, even though I might not qualify. Sure I'll play the betas and point out any bugs/glitches like any other person would, however I'm not one for giving out ideal feedback, but I'll still give the average opinions and suggestions which seem helpful to me, and may/may not seem fitting to you. Also I can assure you that any thing I catch will be legitimate. I'd treat this more of a serious matter, but I'll still enjoy the perks of it.

So, if you would allow to have a beta tester that could point out some bugs and faults, but has no innovative feedback to spare. Would you please consider me?
Thanks anyways.

T - Too
L - Long
D - Didn't
R - Read

I know that this probably isn't the mood on these forums, knowing that everyone writes such in-depth and un-believably long posts, which it seems like everyone likes it that way.

However I am one lazy kitty, and when someone seems to have cooked up what seems to be a worth-while post, that I'd be delighted to read, but has the length of a G.C.S.E essay, I'm not going to read that.

For those who do not know what TLDR is, and haven't seen it before, I've created an example below;

- Pointless encounter -
( This may be true or not, but either way it's irrelevant)
So I was eating some fantastically crunchy doughnuts, but then a wild Jiggly-puff appeared, literally. I was laughing, taking it as a joke, until the man in a Jiggly-puff costume, spilled some fresh-flaming coffee all over my ( PROFANITY ) trousers . I was slightly in shock, but the Jiggly-man-abomination wasn't one take a short rest, and quickly launched another attack at my doughnuts. Now I was furious because those were some pretty good doughnuts, and I had actually given them names, in alphabetical order in which I'd eat them. There was Albert, who I'd eat first. Bobby, who would follow in second, and Charlie Sheen who actually ran off before the Jiggly-mans assault. How? Boggles my mind. Now it was at that point where I realized this poke-man ( yes I did just pull off that foolish pun ) meant business, so I took action. I glanced back and forth between him, and the exit. I planned my strategy, and flipped the table over his ridiculously cute costume, and made a run for it. It may seem un-fortunate, but I got out of that cafe, without having to pay a bill. Thank you kind Sir.

- TLDR: I was in a cafe, got attacked by a man in costume, and ran away without having to pay the bill.-

Some posts could really use a TLDR at the end, to save time for those who don't have enough to spare. I was quite Childish in this post, but hey, give me a break. I was remembering my Pokemon spree as a kid.

TLDR 2.0: I explain that TLDR is just a shorter version of the whole post, and gave an example.

I chose Xbox. The reasons being:

- The controller;
It fits perfectly and comfortably into my hands. Unlike the PS3 controlling where I feel like I'm holding a giant nacho chip, that'll snap in the palms of my hands.

- The Dashboard;
Its much easier to maneuver with, and has a brighter theme. The PS3's "Main menu" is dark and linear, and not preferable to my liking.

- The Safety;
PS3 got hacked several times, and it led to peoples I.D's, Bank Account info, and any other data they presented to the Sony Network being stolen. Xbox has a safer online system, but on the downside being, you gotta pay for it. (Xbox live gold)

However PS3 does do better than in some categories than Xbox, such as, graphics, its CPU speed, and Hard-Disc-Drive (HDD).
I don't want to get into each systems games, because they are basically the same except for the exclusives, but each side already has its own set of award winning exclusives that contradict with its competeter.

Minecraft is indeed, a very interesting game, but its more creative than adventurous. The games that I, ( and perhaps the majority on this site) , prefer to play are RPG types. I have played Minecraft, and enjoyed how the game was designed to make sure that the creations are limitless, and I don't think you gave such an accurate description of the game. So here I go;

- Its graphics aren't pretty, but you can download textures to give it a higher screen resolution, or even resemble certain trilogies. (Halo, Star-Wars, ETC;)

- Minecraft is a World generating sandbox game, meaning that the world never ends, and a newly generated area is created once you reach the boundaries of your older area.

- There is a Single Player mode, dividing into Survival, and creative.

* In survival you must, well survive. You have health and hunger, and in order to survive you must collect resources, food, and other items, to build a shelter. If you go shelter-less on the first day, then have fun spending the night with the mobs, but then again you can craft a sword, or bow, and then protect yourself. The objective is to receive all achievements in the game.

* In creative mode you are invincible and can fly! There is no objective, because the purpose of this mode, is just to create anything. You have infinite supplies to make sure that you can easily create huge structures, and use the variety of blocks to create a variety of unique buildings.

- Then there is multi-player, which is just the whole game played with up-to a hundreds of others. (based on the popularity of the server)

- Finally, there are the mods. These can make the game very interesting, and even turn it into a First-person-shooter, RPG, and can even add other NPC's to the game you can interact with. However, even though the mods are really fun, they don't give the original feeling that a regular RPG, or FPS would, but its still very enjoyable.

Well I think I have pretty much describe the basic elements of the game, but there is more. I really enjoy Minecraft, but its not one of my favorites.

Sorry i couldn't finish my comment. My power went short, and I had to end with.

"It came down to which of these i could"

Which was the beginning of my conclusion, and i'm sorry I've previously posted an incomplete explanation, but I have tended to the matter.

We all have feelings and thoughts. They are sometimes what define us, but each and everyone of us have some of our own. So is it your thoughts that truly make your life worth living, or the emotions that fill your expressions.

I thought a long time about this. How would I enjoy my feelings if I was a fool? And how would I share my thoughts, if no one would bother listening to me?

It came down to which of these I'd rather not live without, or live with the benefit of. With my thoughts being my only company I'd feel alone, but however living a happy social life, but with the downside of a weak mind, there's nothing strong that I can keep to myself.

It came to me that If I was alone, then my thoughts we become my reality, and I may be able to achieve more or easily discover new things with a stronger mind. This actually beats the glamour life of being surronded by friends and family in a happy social paradise. It came close, but the feelings of living happily while socially popular aren't going to make me a better person. My thoughts are the key to the difference I will make in this world. Perhaps I will not enjoy my life as much as I would living in a social paradise, but I will be able to achieve more.

So I put it like this:
1.) If you prefer to live a happy life, and always enjoying times with friends and family.
2.) If you prefer to live a life where you can make a difference, and have very vivid thoughts to yourself.

Well, I think where we are coming to a conclusion here. As a matter of fact, Japan did surrender, but not to America, to the soviets, which could have meant they were still at war with America so I'll have to rethink that over.

However I hope you know That Truman was only recently elected when he decide to drop the bomb. The offer was also presented to Franklin D.Roosevelt, however he refused knowing the consequences. Truman may not have had enough experience when he took the responsibility.
