This is a blog post!

Yes, I think it is a blog post. That is what this is.

I'm currently working on redecorating the site; the colours are radically different, but the code is mostly the same and the database isn't being cleared or anything. I'm writing this blog post for the sake of testing!

The new version might be released within a week, and I bet everyone hates it.

So, it MIGHT be released in a week? Cool, I'd like to see what you did to the site, I'm sure not EVERYONE will hate it, and if they do... Well it's your site.

As everything you do pseudo, the new site will probably look great. You might think different, but I do liked how this site was made. It's easy to use, and the color and style looks classic. And the mix of brown and purple are easy to stare at the computer, but not dark enough to make you believe you're entering in a Gothic dungeon to make human sacrifices. But, If I liked Mardek when it was originally made, and liked even more when it was remade, I will probably like the new site.

I have been keeping quiet on site development for a while, though I've had my reservations about some of the proposed changes. I, for one, have grown rather fond of this colour set-up the site employs, and would be rather distressed to see it go. Go completely, that is.
Please don't think I'm trying to rub you the wrong way with this, or that I'm suggesting this solely because you haven't written a "Don't write suggestions" disclaimer. If this has been addressed in the other blog post in which you have mentioned this, then I am sorry - I do not keep track of every comment that passes through your blog posts.

Well, after that disclaimer of mine, I am pleased(?) to say I want to suggest something.
As I said, I have grown rather fond of this colour set-up, and would dislike to have it go. Therefore, I want to propose there to be multiple colour set-ups one can choose from; much like how you can choose the (background) colour of your profile, as evident in the difference between A β Pseudolonewolf and Sir Hobo.
Being able to choose a colour set-up like this, you could have your lighter, friendlier atmosphere on the site, while others (such as myself) can keep our preferred current colour set-up.

Being a complete amateur at sites and code and whatnot, I have, of course, no idea how easy/average/hard* this process of styleswitcher will be. (*= Strikethrough what doesn't apply.) The freedom you permit with this is yours, of course. I cannot (and would not want, for that matter!) decide what you would make for this styleswitcher option, if you make it at all. You could do it much like the username colour set-ups I mentioned earlier, being able to mix and match on the Settings page to create your own fun. You could also make a few custom colour set-ups, much like this site (∞ Reference Site #1 ∞), where there are seven custom styles.
As for the mix-and-match colour set-up I mentioned, maybe it would be something like this, also? (∞ Reference Picture #1 ∞)

Again, I'm sorry if this is a completely botched-up idea and totally not helping you. If you find it lacking it help, please disregard it. If not, so much the better for all of us (but mostly you, maybe. õ_Õ)

I can certainly understand why people would like such a thing, but most of the work in making a site is coming up with a colour scheme that works and then adding the code for all the colours and so on; it's going to take me days just to change to the new colours and style that I want. So it's just too much work, which doesn't seem worth it at all to me.

I did have multiple different colour schemes for the whole site on a version of the site years ago, interestingly enough... But I learned from that experience how difficult and annoying it is to do it. So unfortunately it's not something I'll be doing again.

You'll probably get used to the new colours fairly quickly anyway!1

Testing? You mean making sure the actual blogging system still works?
