Isn't it ironical that some people would experience negative emotions towards emotions?

Anyhow, I'm not sure I can grasp the idea... What is it about emotions that people find repelling? Are they not a major part of our personalities? And aren't they necessary to maintain our interest in life?
Sure, there are cases when they only get in the way, but such situations hardly ever take place regularly, let alone regularly enough.

I just can't figure it out. A bit of explanation would be much appreciated.

I agree. Emotions can motivate us when logic can not. Haven't you seen all those movies with beings without emotions?
