I really must complain about this. There is really no difference (I think) between yaoi and yuri between what gender is involved. It's... Childish to complain that something is "gross dude" and disgusting just because you are not attracted to it sexually. How would you feel if a woman says yuri is disgusting and that yaoi is the finest work of art mankind has created, or something? It's this annoying mindset of "I don't like this, therefore it's disgusting and gross" that breeds homophobia and closed mindedness in general.

Bah. I should also point out that I'm not gay, so don't get that idea and start undressing me with your mind. Or whatever.

haha, please excuse my ignorance upon this matter (as well as my immaturity) I do agree that I probably should have kept my mouth shut,(or rather fingers AFK). And as to answer what you asked, I never really care much about what people say about something I like, Unless of course I created it, and asked for input upon the subject.
(Sorry if you get a little mixed around while reading this)

I find your choice of words poor. As well as his, of course; that was stated completely inelegantly. I'd say incorrectly, even. But that will be covered hundreds of times. My point is therefore different.

The thing is that 'disgusting' or 'gross' or, uh, a lot of words are actually subjective characteristics, and one should be entitled to saying them if that's the way they feel. These words are not making an objective statement that you could argue with. That is the source of the fallacy of your argument: "How would you feel if a woman says yuri is disgusting and that yaoi is the finest work of art mankind has created, or something?" is speaking about two opinions of different nature, the first is subjective, described by --an adjective related to the way one feels-- and the second is stated objectively ("the finest work of art"). Do you wish to argue with feelings? With the fine logic? Why, this actually tends to annoy and hurt. We've had this before.

I also don't see him 'complaining' as much as stating his 'view' very briefly... or rather throwing it in like a brick. How inelegant.

Feel free to react to that in any way you'd like, as long as I'm safe, because all these comments are fluff, mine included. Fluff I say!
