Oh great Pseudo! I come to you with a question on the FLIGS system!

Uh, what L rating do we give to a post that uses word choice and language for evil, like propaganda and such? I'm thinking of mainly God's Savior's post (But there are several more, somewhere...) which uses word choice and all that stuff to attempt to "convert" us, or to make us feel bad about ourself and such, not a very good use of the English language!

The site is nice, and the rounded edges look calm, I've one question (maybe more later on), did you ever considdered a slice-system by the avatar add? (that you can grab a picture bigger than needed and that you are able to grab a piece at you choice and length and shrink it down to the needed length)? I hope so since all my photos are to big.

There are surely sites out there which will resize your images for you. It would take me ages to add such a thing though, if I could even do it at all, and since I'm not getting paid for any of this ever, I don't have a whole lot of motivation to try...

A β Pseudolonewolf, I have read about the FLIGS system, and it seems to me that the uppermost examples for "Feelings" imply that forum posts, like humans, possess agency. That having been said, would you please tell me why one's orb colour is contingent on the ratings one receives in the "Feelings" category?

If your posts annoy a lot of people, or upset them, then it's only reasonable that your orb would reflect that the community isn't exactly in love with your contributions.

I do not understand how my posts can annoy or upset people. Would you please enlighten me?

I didn't really mean your posts specifically; I probably should have worded that differently. What I meant was that if 'a user' makes posts that annoy people, whatever they may be, then they'll get a penalty to their orb colour that I consider fair since, well, they're annoying the community in some way, and it'd seem wrong if they had, say, a green orb or something when several people actually disliked what they posted.
It would 'mean more' to me to have orbs show 'what the community thinks of you' rather than just 'whether you get A+ on your essays' or something.

Out of curiosity, do you gain any revenue from people clicking the adverts, or merely from having them there? If people clicking them gives you some bonus, or something, it'd be pretty easy to click the advert every time I visit the website. You could also make a Blog advising others to do so, so you can get some extra 'bling', or something!1!

I do get money from people clicking them, but I lose money if people click them for the sake of clicking them.
The advertisers pay to get their product seen, and to make money themselves. The money doesn't just appear out of nowhere, magically, so whoever's spending it doesn't want to be ripped off in a one-sided deal.
If people are clicking adverts just to get me money, then Google tends to detect that, and punishes me accordingly. So don't do that. Only click adverts if you are genuinely interested in them.

Thank you- I'd be curious as to how such a system works, but I'm content.

I suppose I'll donate in the future; that's probably the best way to give you money, I think. x.x

Greetings, Pseudolonewolf,

I am leaving this comment to address a slight concern that I have about the ability to leave Blurbs. Blurbs are an interesting and encouraged as they promote users to reflect on their peers give their honest opinion about them. The only aspect about Blurbs that concerns me is the inability to leave your username with your submission. While I understand that they were originally made to anonymously share your opinions about the person you are sending it to, there are users such as myself who prefer to be more direct. What I am proposing is the option for fellow Fig Hunters to leave their username when submitting a Blurb. By allowing users to be forward and direct in this fashion, they may know who has submitted which Blurb. Another suggestion that came to mind would be for the users to control whether or not they want to accept anonymous Blurbs, but that would infringe on what you originally designed them to be used for. While some users may share their name when they share their opinion on someone it is not that secure of a method. There may be the possibility of a troll who would harass someone and say they are someone else. By having the option to leave our usernames with the submission of a Blurb, the aforementioned risk would significantly decrease. In summary, I am suggesting the ability for Fig Hunter users to be able to leave their username when they submit a Blurb, as it would allow users to be forward of their own volition and reduce the risks of them being impersonated by trolls.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to read this, Pseudolonewolf, and I patiently await your reply.

Regards,
CanadianRocker

P.S.: I corrected a grammatical error.

This has already been suggested before. I'd prefer it though if they remained anonymous so then the recipient can't just dismiss or feel worse about blurbs based on the connotations of the writer... Like thinking 'oh, I don't care what that person thinks, so I'll ignore this', or 'I thought he was my friend, but he sees me like this? D:'
The anonymity encourages readers to give them all equal weight, which is as it should be.

They're not really meant to be about you as the poster; only about the recipient. In that way, it doesn't matter who writes them.

Good job on the new site Psuedo. Sorry for being a bit short, I'm feeling just a wee bit passive aggressive at the moment, but I would prefer to compliment you on the new site before I forget.

Sorry I had to post this here. This is the only "sure" way I can bring this to your attention.

There seems to be a troller on the old site. His accounts are here: ∞ Fig Hunter ∞
If that is unavailable, click here: ∞ Fig Hunter ∞

I think this person's actions call for an immediate sanction because he seems to be acting on the assumption that you won't look at the posts on the old site regularly. Even though you'll move everything here eventually, that doesn't mean you should leave the others to rot on the old site.

Perhaps just ban the troll and don't utter a word of reply, just so he wouldn't think he's "doing something right to get your attention" or something.

Oh, if you don't believe me, here are some corroborating evidence:
∞ Fig Hunter ∞
∞ Fig Hunter ∞
∞ Fig Hunter ∞

To the other readers, please do not rate the posts there. People who are trolling love to get attention, even if it's in the form of red ratings. Giving him red ratings would only encourage him to troll more. So the ratings system doesn't work for the purpose of deterring this person from making more bad posts. So it doesn't really make sense if you give him red ratings.

To add up to this, I believe the person behind this is probably ChaosTheory.

Looking at this 'attack' directed at a member named 'Blitz' ( ∞ Fig Hunter ∞ and ∞ Fig Hunter ∞ ) and then at a comment exchange between ChaosTheory and Blitz (∞ Fig Hunter ∞ --you can see how he has downrated unfairly Blitz's comments), it is somewhat reasonable to assume that ChaosTheory had the motive to do this. I mean, he's made troll accounts in the past and I have sent you screenshots that prove it...

True, the IP of the trolling accounts doesn't match with ChaosTheory's, but I'm pretty certain that he used a proxy like he's done before (compare ∞ LINK ∞ and ∞ LINK ∞ ).

I don't feel too comfortable asking thing but... are you a stalker Tassie? What you said sounds... really unnerving. Maybe it was a joke, but I still don't know why you should go around posting creepy things like this on people's userpages, especially the administrators. That's umm... all I have to say. I don't want to come across as apathetic or stoic in joke humor and personality, but this is just a little too creepy for me to read every time I check on a userpage (Pseudo's in this case) and I see this message posted up. Urpp.... I feel sick.

Please note: I probably should have PM'd this, and I think it was rather stupid of me to post this message publicly. I'll try to be more careful in the future. If anything, I'd prefer this message to be deleted.

I honestly don't understand what possesed you to put this comment here. There are a thousand better places, like on one of the many comments that have been rated down by "the same people", or even perhaps more appropriately on your own userpage. This comment is irrelevant to what Tassie wrote as well as not related to Pseudolonewolf or anyone other than you. I don't want to seem overly critical but you can't have seriously thought that this was a good place to comment about how **you** are being rated down by the same people all the time.
