I can't very much speak to the whole rape thing, other than it's good that you realize what you did and regret it.

As far as the...relationship you're in now goes. It's good, in a way, that you're remaining friends, as that leads me to believe she's able to understand what happen, know there was no malicious intent behind it, and forgive you. I also agree that it's never good to lose a friend. All but one of my exes I failed to interact with shortly after and never managed to reconnect on any level, and I still regret each case on varying levels. So good for you.

ON THE OTHER HAND. This concerns me:
Quote:
(That's a lie, I'll always pursue her, and tell her how I feel, just in case she actually feels mutual.)
On one level, it concerns me for your relationship, because this is liable to strain the friendship. On another level, this worries me for you. It's not healthy. I wouldn't expect you to forget right away. But, as someone who had their heart broken once in a similar matter, don't force yourself to move on, but leave yourself open to it. Keep your feelings, but don't pursue her. Considering what actually happened during your relationship, if you two *do* get back together, it should be solely on her terms. Your pursuit can only lead to ruin; again, experience.

Quote:
I don't know how to think. She was my drive to live, better myself, and making her happy. But she doesn't want me. I'm okay with that, more or less. I'm hurt, in a grand way... I thought I found 'the one'. But I was wrong on so many accounts...

I was here, little over 2 years ago. Was the saddest month of my life. But, like a crab, I regrew my shell around my heart. This hurts, but hearing the type of personality you exhibit (being sensitive to your own emotions, being able to tell when someone's lying) this is the best. Someone (her or otherwise) has to prove to you that they can be trusted with your emotions, just as you'll feel the need in any future relationship (and should) to implicitly prove your ability to restrain yourself.

That's my two cents, even though it's more like 50.

I've taken this before, and I'd agree that it's quite...odd. I'd also agree with what Ribbit said, adding the example, "A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system." I mean, that's true. Does this mean I prefer a one-party state if I put agree? Not really.

Anywho, two years or so ago when I took this, I was exactly 0 on the left/right and about -5 on the up/down. Now, it's ∞ LINK ∞ (.38, .2.72), which I guess isn't that different. I think it's just that I changed the degree of my answers (a lot more agree than strongly agree, etc), and not the actual views. Meh.

Y'know, at first, I was apprehensive. However, after reading the AF Site post, I'm liking this. I think it could work well. I think most of the main problems is people comparing a project that is in the idea phase to the finished MARDEK chapters, which is a bad thing to do. Obviously it'll all be in the execution, but I have faith that a revitalized A β Pseudolonewolf will deliver.

Think about it this way people: Deliverance was an alpha version of Pseudo's ultimate RPG, and MARDEK was sort of a beta. This obviously isn't really *true*, but it helps with, um, coping(?) to think about it like that. Now we'll be getting the real deal, final version ^^.

Also, just a personal thing Pseudo, I hope you don't mind that little expansion for (original) MARDEK IV story thing I've been posting here. Now that I know you *will* be starting over, I'd like to continue it as an extension of the original story (again, I'll never make the game, just writing the story), if you don't mind me doing so.

I'll just echo certain people here.

Though I personally don't like games being released in installments, I would still support it based on your track record of games and especially MARDEK. I think it could work well with the series, and it would work great to draw in a brand new player-base along with the old one.

Now, to the Alora Fane thing. I'm not that familiar with the lore, other than what you've put on the blog here, but whatever my two cents are worth, I'd put forward a whole-hearted no to merging the two. Other than the thought Core put in about "it's different and therefore bad", I'm gonna put forth "If it isn't broken, don't fix it." Personally, what sells me on RPG's is the story. As a result, MARDEK is one of my favorite RPG's, and my favorite flash RPG. Your writing of MARDEK is very stellar and very witty. However, the core lore is a large selling point, hell it even inspired me, who never writes worth a damn, especially about other people's stuff, to write an expansion, uh, "fan-fic"? I think that the rage over not providing closure to this story-line would be a terrible thing. Even if you just want to have Gaspar come and kill Rohoph/Mardek, then remake the game with the Alora Fane lore, that would be much better than simply leaving the other MARDEK universe as it is and just starting the new MARDEK/AF hybrid.

Good to hear Pseudo, glad you've gotten past that rock-bottom point and are now working to better yourself.

If you decide to Steam Greenlight a game, I'm sure we could spread the word to get you going (many Kong connections here), so that's always an option.

As far as MARDEK 4 goes, I'm sure that would be a sure-fire way to make quite a bit of money, no matter what you do with it. Just remember that no matter which way you choose, free or pay, some people are going to be unhappy, but just do whatever makes you happiest/richest. And, it sounds like you aren't, but don't worry about getting it done too soon; we've waited this long, we'll wait until you're ready ^^.

Well people have mostly decided that they want the side-story within this chapter, so prepare for 150 hours of game play! Anyways, I'm still not to the point where that is relevant yet, so here's the next part! New character, though they aren't playable, sorry. New party member coming next installment!

Mardek and Enki exit the ship, followed by Ninevehn crew.

Enki: We need to be getting underground soon, it won’t be long until Dark soldiers show up.
Rohoph: Dark soldiers patrolling Light territory? Damn you Anu.

Four Dark Soldiers come around the side of a building and spot the group

Dark Soldier A: Invaders! Catch them for questioning!

Battle ensues
Three soldiers disappear, one is left on ground

Enki: Move, now!
Rohoph: That house, there! Let’s duck in there and plan from there.

Rohoph and the Ninevehns enter the house. More soldiers show up, the leader goes to the dying one.

Dark Captain: Soldier, what happened?!
Dark Soldier D: Ro….hoph……..
Dark Captain: Dammit! Men, find Rohoph, now! Do not let him leave Light territory unless in chains! And remember, Anu wants him alive!

Move to inside the house.

Enki: Stay quiet.
Rohoph: Are you sure no one lives here?
Enki: I ne’er said that.
????: Who are you people in my house?

A Light Annunaki comes through a doorway.

????: Before I get those soldiers in here, who are you?
Rohoph: Please, we are not here to harm you. We are here to free you.
????: And what makes you think you can?
Rohoph: I suppose you wouldn’t recognize me, like this.
????: Do I know you, human?
Rohoph: I am not human. I’m Rohoph.
????: Lies. Rohoph fled.
Rohoph: I have returned to end this conflict and restore Anshar to Light.
????: …you mean balance?
Rohoph: Yes, peace and balance.
????: Prove to me you are Rohoph.

Rohoph takes off Mardek’s helmet, showing his glowing eyes.

????: Well that proves you are Annunaki.
Rohoph: I am here with Enki, a captain of a Ninevehn ship.
Enki: Aye, ‘tis true.
????: That…is good enough. Rohoph was the only one I knew, Light or otherwise, who was willing to work with the Ninevehns instead of war with them.
Rohoph: Now, who are you?
????: You don’t recognize me, Hophy?
Rohoph: Hophy….is that Grandall?
Grandall: Yes Rohoph, glad your memory hasn't faded.
Mardek: Who is this guy?
Rohoph: He was my predecessor on the Governance.
Grandall: I see you did not expunge the soul of the body you inhabit. Ever the merciful.
Rohoph: Unfortunately, this conflict has forced me to renounce some of that mercy, at least temporarily.
Grandall: How so?
Rohoph: Look.
Grandall: Soul jewels?! You’ve imprisoned your fellow GdM members in soul jewels?! Moric, Qualna, Gaspar?! How could you Rohoph?
Rohoph: They would have jumped to new bodies and continued to assault me; Moric actually did so. I had to.
Grandall: I…do not agree with you. But, we can worry about freeing their souls once balance is restored.
Rohoph: Yes, once we destroy that blasted Violet Crystal.
Grandall: Come with me, you two. Ninevehn, your men can stay here. I’ll be taking you two to the Mission; there are some there who will be willing to fight.
Rohoph: There is no resistance?
Grandall: Rohoph, without you here I retook the mantle of Light Governor, unofficially. When did I ever choose violence?
Rohoph: …never. That was the only point I ever disagreed with you on, whether violence was worth it to further the greater good.
Grandall: Yes, but now is not the time for debate. Let’s go.

I don't think you all appreciate the length and depth I'm going to put into this portion when you all vote to put it in the same chapter :P.
