Forum: How do I get Taming Dreams to work on PC

I used Bluestacks for it to work on my PC. In order to get saves and the rest of the game to work, I had to boot up bluestacks, click on the game icon, and log in before starting the game (which can be done from the bottom right screen, I believe, which you type in your google account password, and wait for the game to register it from there). In order for saves to work, you HAVE to have an internet connection and your google account registered with the game itself from the title screen.

You don't need an android if you're using that. I'm not sure about what to do if you own one though, but you don't have to hook it up to your computer in order to get it to work, just log in from the main page of the game. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure what your problem is in starting the game itself...

An iOS version is coming out at some point, but who knows when that is, judging by how long Pseudo/Tobias usually takes with that kind of stuff...

It's fine. After all, this site is pretty much dead and everyone has gone over to AF now, Pseudo/Tobias's other site. You'll find me there more often, though I roleplay here since there isn't a roleplay room in Alora Fane.

And I accepted your friend request. In order for friend requests to process, the person on the other side must accept the request, otherwise it just states you as a 'fan' of the person.

Sure, go ahead! I'll make friends with anyone, if possible, and I'm glad you're asking me for help, I just hope I can be of help! Just tell me if you have any questions or anything!

Ah, okay. In truth, my post wasn't meant to be negative either! At first, I had meant it in a sarcastic way, to sort of be 'reassuring' as I thought you were nervous, but I guess not! I totally messed up too! So really, while your post may have been to give first impressions but 'sort of' failed, mine is hard to think of the other way as I think I tried to hard on the sarcasm I was going for in making fun of your post...! So yeah, don't worry about that!

Well, that's not 110% true. At first I misinterpreted what you said and was being serious, but I realized what you meant and tried to change what I was saying to be sarcastic so... yeah.

Glad to hear your opinions a bit clearer though!

Don't be so worreid to the new site, please. It may have a huge influx of members, but that happens all the time. Along with that, there's a lot of interest, and the members are mostly nice as far as I know, so I don't see why you're complaining unless for nostalgia sake if you are. I'm glad you're so attached to here though! But...

There's also the fact that archive was so.. all over the place with good and bad people that it's hard to say that it was great or bad, even if the rating orbs and blurbs in early bubbles was cool. Another good thing about the new site is that it's easier to PM and there's less lag, even if the pages aren't all full (which was the same here). I'm just asking you give it a bigger chance, most everyone HATED bubbles and the remade version of bubbles after this site was released, but many grew to love different aspects of this over time. Blurbs had mixed reactions, as did rating orbs and appreciating as well as the ranking system and other stuff. And yes, I can understand you not liking all the personality stuff, but you don't need to set any of that stuff, and some of the people with a lot of appreciates (mostly old members) only do stuff they care about doing. It isn't required, it's your choice.

It isn't muddy, really, just developing and adjusting to us or to please people or itself, just like all of us. The place is rather organized in the sense of refinement as well as for look. Think of it like this:

Fig is a moving trailer van, and there's always new stuff in it every once in a while, new updates to the area or new features to the place, good and bad, and we just need to adjust. Nobody always is happy about moving, but the van attracts people there because of both past and present, and it'll change to whoever keeps the truck running. Everyone cares for it together if things get bad that was good before and fixes it if it doesn't get better, which is what makes it unique, we all contribute in certain situations in different ways. BUT those changes are not it's choice, it's the people and the makers themselves.

The members, however, are different. They're age and change just like fig, yes, but they also get to an age where they don't want change or innovation. The ones that want change are much more able to accept, in most cases, but often those people can have the biggest complaints as they're picky. We're like jellybeans, each of us are different, some of us barely changing, others staying very similar. However, we don't always want that change OURSELVES, and fig can bring that change right in front of us. Others will not always help us either, as while the fig van has numerous faults, they're blatant and fixable. But someone people don't make it blatant or obvious, even hiding it. But it's what also gives us an advantage. We can change what we want because we have feelings, but the fig van doesn't.

As for the new site, the only 'problem' I can see is the one chatroom we can be in and no going to other places if things get out of hand. It may cause the sudden influx of members to crash more often. There's also always the chance of bad things, but I doubt it'll happen. As for the randomness, this place was equally as random, there's actually very little difference. I also things are much prettier, this place just feels 'dull' in color scheme now. Besides that, there's also the fact that we can't play the other games yet, but it'll change with time, I'm positive.

In summary, I understand you want to stay back, but don't get nervous. It'll calm down eventually. This place isn't going down until later. No one was expecting that huge an influx for the most part anyway. I don't like change either, but the more we don't adjust or learn to adjust the more we run away.
Forum: Colors!?

It's always weird to me when someone changes their color who hasn't before.

I've been white for... how long now? 3 years? The only time I ever did change it was when my evil clone took over, and that was by force, in which it would become grey, then change back. I don't plan to change it again, because people associate it with me sometimes as well as myself.

Think of it like this. When a user stays one color all their life, wouldn't it be hard for others to see them another way? It's similar with usernames too, even in Tobias's case. He's been 'Pseudolonewolf' a lot of his life, and now that he's changed that, it's hard for people to see him with the name he now uses...

I think it all boils down to how accepting people are of change, how their personality works, and to the person who changed their color as well. If you are a timid person, then it isn't often a decision made overnight. Yet if you gain courage, it's a bit easier I think, but not always...

Also, I like your color, Mache. It looks like you ate a chilli pepper and can't get the taste out of your mouth. Or your old color was executed by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland or something...
Forum: 30-Day Disney Cartoon Show Challenge!!!

I'll be going as far as I can, from the oldest to the newest for 30 days straight, maybe I should be more specific...

You see, I plan on starting this challenge in a few days, once I find the time, which shouldn't be hard as I do almost nothing every day...

As for all the Cartoon Network, Disney Channel XD, and other channels, I probably won't watch those as I generally want to stick to one series to see how that specifically has progressed (plan on starting with Tom and Jerry as that has the most significant changes, I think), and I feel if I start on something modern it'll be too hard to motivate myself to watch the older stuff....

Still, I DID watch a simple Mickey Cartoon from the fifties or so. One episode, and I actually enjoyed it a ton! Oddly enough though, the particular series I saw apparently had been rather unpopular (ever heard of George Geef? Yeah, that series. If you haven't, then just know he's probably the most unpopular Goofy incarnation as he.... isn't at all like Goofy.)

I plan on starting much earlier than the 50's, of course, but I won't go all the way to, say, Oswald. Those are fine, but I feel that'd take too long to get through that particular series of shorts...

Anyway, yeah, as for Nickelodeon, I don't plan on watching any of those, as I stopped watching that place in fifth grade.... so yeah.

Also, AzureEdge, I am fully aware of this, but that channel as far as I know won't be the best for finding everything that I want to see, I think... yeah.

Oh, and to people that don't want to do this challenge, PLEASE DON'T VOTE OTHER!!! It makes the results skewed.... and I'd like to have a good idea of what people who actually want to do this will do, so I can do that in the future. I see it's already happened but... oh well....

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE, DON'T VOTE, IT'S A PRETTY SIMPLE CONCEPT!!! /annoying caps-lock-and-sort-of-jerkish-correction

Well, hello crystalis, welcome to fighunter! It's always good to have new members here; it's a rarity nowadays and no one really ever introduces themselves or anything like that due to shortage of members... but pleased to make our acquaintance! I'm Brock, a moderately well known fighunter on this site who's been here for about 4 years now? Hmm... 3 or 4 site changes, so yeah, that seems right.... either way, I enjoy RPGs (mostly turn-based ones and grid-based strategy style ones!), but I can go for almost any genre nowadays. I rarely complete games though, probably due to my serious casual gamer-ness. I'm not a big MMO or Multiplayer fan, I tend to stick to single player stuff, and I only every do multplayer stuff with friends at me house or something. I like a few sports (baseball mainly, though I also love tennis and badminton), and I'm somewhat athletic, but I don't work out so I don't get too much bette- I mean, work out? I'm a Waddle Dee, why would I need that?

Anyway, enough about me, no one cares about that crappy sorta-well-known-but-not-really guy! I'd rather hear anything you have to say!

I see you like the Crystalis games? Or I'd assume? I like them too, but since I stink at actions RPGs and since the games themselves are rather unforgiving (especially Crystallis), I don't ever get very far in them!

Anyway, it's pleased to hear we have another roleplaying fan here! We have a sort of small group here, and occasionally roleplay and such a whole assortment of different types of plots, so feel free to join us if you want, though we aren't always on at the same times and we don't always see each other when we want to, unfortunately, so I often feel rather like I don't get to RP enough!

But before I end this, I gotta go over the rules that no one really ever mentions here!!! What, there's rules??! Well, yeah. It's pretty standard though, no spamming, trolling, or heavy cursing. Nextly, keep in mine proper grammar is liked on this site. If you don't speak English as a main language and struggle with it, that's fine, but tell us so we're aware of it. We aren't super strict as to that stuff, but there are some things that some members just don't like hearing. Another thing to keep in mind is that we don't like hacking of this site and we don't like people ripping on the mods either (though the latter is more a personal thing with me)... so yeah! It's pretty easy to do, don't worry! As I said, we aren't strict, but you should keep this info in mind anyway! Breaking the rules isn't always bad if it was by accident, and the mods are rather forgiving, but that doesn't mean any of them will let you get away with, say, creating six alt test accounts or something.... (Esoto, I'm looking at you. :P)

So yeah! I hope you enjoy it here! The forums aren't super active anymore at all, but the chat occasionally gets a lot of people in there. As for when we'll GET new members, that'll be rather soon! When Tobias/Pseudolonewolf releases a new game, there's going to be a TON of activity, like there always is when that happens. I'm just hoping the people are friendly, as this is a small community and we don't get much trolling!

Also, have a cookie! I promise it isn't oatmeal raisin!.... okay, so it has SOME raisins, but that's beside the point! Have fun! I hope we can talk in the chat sometime!

KEEP IN MIND THIS BEFORE TAKING THIS CHALLENGE!!!:
If you plan on doing this, you CANNOT include anime, unfortunately!!! That would be cheating, and if you ever want to do that, try your own separate challenge! Kids anime doesn't count either, sorry! I'm looking for something someone would PURELY consider a cartoon, like Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny (series), The Jetsons, Flintstones, and other sorts of things! I don't mean to be biased against anime or anything, but... I just don't feel it'll work for this particular challenge as almost all anime shows are enjoyable to an extent for a lot of folks, and some of the stuff we may watch me not be so enjoyable, so it won't work! It also isn't nearly as long of a history, and thus won't be a 'challenge' really at all!!!

So I recently came up with a clever idea for myself that is going to be EXTREMELY time consuming and probably very annoying, but it may prove to be an interesting experience.... it's to watch a ton of Disney cartoons from the distant past, whether it be spin-offs of the old series or Oswald/Mickey Cartoons in Black and White, and then rate them in effectiveness in several categories. Why would I ever do this? Several reasons, and they are as follows:

1) Because upon doing this, it will make me much more knowledgeable as to Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Clarabelle, Horace, Minnie, Daisy, Pluto, and the rest of the gang's past and future. This is actually the lowest reason as to why I'm doing this now though, the other points are much better!
2) I may get into a new genre on doing this, of course! I don't watch really ANY television at all, and I feel if I do this, I will be able to much more enjoy both modern and old cartoons by looking at something that really kicked off everything. And speaking of kicking off how cartoons work:
3) I'm also doing this to have a look back at how old cartoons progressed overtime! This is probably the biggest reason I'm doing this. It's so I won't have to look at history videos of characters and such from the series and I can form my honest opinion as to when the series got any good or not. It's like if I was judging the Breath of Fire game series for the first time, or the Simpsons as a whole. Breath of Fire hit it's stride around 3 and 4, and ended at 5, while the Simpsons was most popular around Season 4-10, though I enjoy some of the more modern episodes as well to be able to fairly judge the series as opposed to people who just look a reviews to make a decision...
4) The last reason is because I want to see how things change overtime, a similar reason to before. How cartoons sort of went from hand-drawn and kinda cute to mostly CGI done in a cartoon style.... I figured this would be the best place to look!

I honestly feel as if I can do this, unlike most tasks I undergo, as I did a similar thing with the Simpsons, watching every Season up until 21, in which I stopped at my own specified time. I do have neves of me growing to not like the series or me feeling that I have to force myself to do it... but I'm taking a guess that as the series will go on, I'll enjoy it more!

!!!IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!

I WILL NOT be watching EVERY SINGLE EPISODE, of course. This would take YEARS if not a majority of every day I have right now... something I don't want to do. In order to fix this, then, I'll only be watching the ones that were successful, and I'll only be watching the series parts that were popular...

!!!!END IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!

Feel free to take up this challenge with me! I never do things like this, and I feel it'll be an adventure, I guess! But you guys don't HAVE to restrict yourselves to Disney Cartoons like I am, as I'm only focusing on Disney in this department as they are widely considered the King when it comes to cartoons and slapstick humor type stuff in them....

If this turns out to be really fun, I'll do a Popeye run too, as I still enjoy Popeye to this day (which surprises me), and it'll be an interesting change from what I'm currently doing!!!

Pseudo doesn't check this site much, unfortunately, so he probably won't see your comment... but... Just as a note, sadisticenerd, he WAS originally planning to change the name to 'Rohoph RPG', as he said 'the game wasn't really about Mardek', but he kept the name as he got way too many complaints.

So really, no matter if he'd kept the name or not, he'd get complaints from both sides, most likely. I can understand why you want a name change, as the 'old MARDEK' was a ongoing series that's still popular and most people don't want the name 'stepped on or destroyed/it no longer fits/works', but there is the point that a lot of people WANT him to keep the name, despite what people are saying.

I don't really care either way, and I can see arguments from both sides, but I don't think he's going to change the name this far into development.

Though it's nice to hear that you're looking forward to the new game! I hear too many people trashing on the 'combat system', when it actually doesn't look too much different, just instead of lowering 'HP' your raising 'HP'. It's basically the same system in that sense. But oh well, change is hard for people, I guess!

Still, I'd like to see him link some of the OSTs from his old games nowadays, like Peregrin's theme (from Deliverance), some of the AFC ost pieces that was never heard by most people here (it's great, probably my favorite of all his tracks), the gym leader theme from Beast Signer, and the Tsar theme from Miasmon (which I REALLY want to buy, but can't due to it being pretty much nowhere to be found on the internet, unless I were to maybe record it or ask him. Oh well.)

So yeah, that.
