Actually that phrasing is stilted and awkward, let me just say to not 'doublepost'. Much easier.

You know you can edit posts right no need to continuously make several posts in a continuous streak.

"All magic is merely a Satanic illusion"

"Thirdly, magic and necromancy is very real and very dangerous"

Wow make up your mind.

I never thought much of Pokémon Go at all, to me it was no replacement for the regular Pokémon games I adore, though I do not bemoan the game's existence.

The game has caused some nuisances due to ill-placed hotspots but it also encouraged people to go outside and explore which is good in my book.

But as DarkDragon10 said, the hype's gone, from what I read because the developers got rid of external tracking devices and just in general the game not encouraging long-time engagement. Ah well, can't say the same for regular Pokémon games, those always stay engaging from the comfort of one's room. :p

Wait how is AF as a site non-violent and how is FH violent? Are we going to violate stuff? Will I be violated?

Sometimes it's just better to quit on something than to continue it at your own expense. Pseudo had every right to let go of certain old projects and sites as they ceased to reflect the person he is, people do change after all.

Yeah, Bernard's Heh reaction is pretty exploitable, another fun thing you can do is confuse Bartholio and Vennie with Addle Gas, then they have a chance of hitting Bartholio and getting a Heh in return, something which seems perfectly in-character for Bernard. :p

I was playing MARDEK some days ago when I noticed a peculiar event while using Elwyen's Ballad of Balance and Donovan's Pyro Shell, that event being that every physical attack the enemy did counted as hitting the Shell, regardless of who was targeted!

Of course, that in itself isn't all too exciting, why bother with that when most of the challenge comes from magical attacks? It is probably a highly gimmicky strategy at best, but there's potential for supreme shenanigans!

And that's where the King of Goznor comes in. As a boss, he has several physical attacks as well as summoning clones of the party who also include several physical attackers. So whenever any of those characters attack your party, they damage themselves in the process! You can even stack Pyro and Aero Shell on everyone for added effect.

But this is where it gets even better. When one of the Aether clones hits a shell, their whole party takes physical damage in return. One of those allies is the King of Goznor. The King of Goznor counters every physical attack, except his own. That includes taking damage from the Pyro/Aero shell because an ally hit it, which means he counterattacks his whole party!

So, while the King is busy killing himself and you're healing and setting up Nulls and whatnot, pesky Mardek and Meaeador clones appear, and they use a Thermal Spanner to lower your Defense and raise a Shield for the King, which is quite a bother... Except Meraeador actually lowers his own Defense due to the Pyro/Aero Shell! Meanwhile, if the King uses Shield Breaker, he breaks his own shields! I can only imagine it's also possible for shells to reflect status ailments tied to physical attacks, though I've not gotten around to testing that.

So, what is this good for, except for seeing the King of Goznor killing his own allies and himself, while summoning more to speed up the killing process? ... Not much, probably, but it might be fun to try for yourself, perhaps you can find some other oddities. MARDEK's combat system has a lot of depth to it due to its sheer variety in party members and whatnot. Perhaps you can use this tactic on the World's Saviours, they have three physical attackers and a Black Mage with a deadly counter... Who knows what strange things might happen?!

So rather than letting MARDEK stay as dead as it used to be, A β Pseudolonewolf decides to do the only thing he can do to keep MARDEK alive in some form, which is to reboot it as a much more planned-out series, how is this worse than the alternative? Pseudo is not purging the old MARDEK from the web nor from your memories, there's nothing keeping you from enjoying the old series for what it is, since there is a lot to enjoy. Either way, you won't get the MARDEK 4 you're hoping for, so why make the new MARDEK a scapegoat?

How would you even know the new one is worse anyway, or like a self-help book? You've not played the game yet and you're already dismissing it. Not going into a game with an open mind only means you're going to try as see the game for what you think it is, and if you think it's bad, then you're only going to look for and notice the bad...

A β Pseudolonewolf is not burning or vandalizing any books, but you are already judging the new one by its cover, covering it with your judgement rather. I just hope people will try and look at the new MARDEK for what it is rather than for how it isn't just a faithful remake or a sequel.

I've watched the MARDEK 2 any% speedrun yesterday and it was interesting and unexpected to see the game could be beaten so quickly, and at such a low level!

It must have taken a lot of planning to figure out which items to take and buy and what tactics to use for each boss, I personally voted for MARDEK 3 any% because I want to see how you'd tackle that chapter with its vast and open middle part, big array of playable characters, as well as the more intricate boss battles. Will you be doing MARDEK 3 any% with a fresh save file?

I certainly hope you'll do more of these speedruns anyway, whichever MARDEK it is, or even CBC, be it 100% or any%!
