i like being able to see my character, but more importantly being able to customise them and their looks with new items. RPG are all about you taking on the role so it stands to reason that they should be very customisable. i also like the idea of being able to give your character jobs and having somthing like a skill tree so they can improve it. e.g. a tailor starts with simple cloth but as lvl 10 tailoring they can unlock a point on the skill tree that gives them another set of advanced designs. Also i like there being numerous classes with there own unique skills so that once you finish the game you can do it again as another class and it can turn out compleatly different. Fractions are also good i think because you can get unique rewards for advancing in them or gain side quests that can help you qith the main or just give you currency. An Rpg ive allways enjoy is sonny and sonny 2 by krin.

you can get diferent allies on it, each unique, and then use stratergy to overcome bosses and monsters or just make a team that complements your abilities. you can also customise your character from weppons to apparal and you follow sonny through a mysterious story which has substantial depth so you can feel for him. You can also re-spec your character for currency if you make the wrong choice or if you require certain skills to overcome bosses and need to change them. I also like how you can gain rewards, not realy benefcial but ou still get the feeling of acomplishment that you got a super rare item or bead a ledgendary boss.

Being able to choose your characters gender is also good as in most RPGs they give different dialog and it also adds to the customisability. I also like the 'sphere of influence' type systems in which your able to choose a certain sphere and gain skill bonuses or abilitys from them. example: crystal sagas godesses, you can choose from 4 and worship them in which they reward you with bonuses. Or like in Ge.ne.sis they have elements that give bonuses such as one of the characters called ellie gains the 'thunder child' passive ability meaning she cant be harmed by thunder attacks and also gains the ability to make thunder hit her, healing her and damaging all the monsters around her.
