Pseudo, hopefully, you still take time to read our comments here...

...because I am very interested to see the changes you've made to the MARDEK that I have grown attached to.
Take note that that does not say that I like or hate the changes.

I do hope you'll be able to make a very good game (in this case, episodes). I'll admit I am quite uneasy with the sudden "drastic" changes. It makes MARDEK so limited in my point of view. Plus, we may have different understandings of "character-driven" and "event-driven" stories but I would prefer your style in the old MARDEK because it keeps the curiosity growing out of our own accord and adventure.
Maybe because it will be easier to have MARDEK in Patreon episodically so this makes things flow easier in your case (I think that's a little rude, sorry if it was.) but I think waiting for a whole MARDEK chapter is better and more fulfilling (we do have the save feature after all. It's not like we'd finish a chapter in just a day). However, if that will allow you rest and time for better plot development, I wouldn't deny you the chance.

Maybe I'm just afraid to embrace changes. So that I will not sound too negative, I'll have you know that I am really happy to see you up and motivated again! I'm happy to see you talking again about your games and the hope that builds up in you once again.
Fusing the two games somewhat has some potential. I agree that it could make MARDEK worse or better. Somehow, I think the risk is worth it no matter what the result. We're seeing you as an artist and a game developer grow.
There are clearly interesting elements in this plan of yours. I'd like to try them and play them with my own hands.
Keep this up, Pseudo and I'll support you anyway I can! :)

Pseudo, you don't have to be a negative what-if thinker.
Millions have played your games, especially MARDEK.
Millions have loved your work.
Don't let the few hundred trolls and "aggressive" people knock you down.
There are a MILLION people who wants to put you up.
We are happy whenever you present us your works, which are always interesting and actually fresh.
The imagination your mind brings is unique and deserves to be shared.
You are one of the best developers in the world. Seriously.
While I am not good in giving emotional advice, please be more positive.
And oh-my, don't think about suicide.
You might end up like Robin Williams.
You are a very important person and someone cares about you.
In this case, millions of people do care about you and your games.
The force of a million supporters are stronger than the number of bad people.
While we may not be as passionate in words as they are, we would love to support and help you.
We would love to see you with us, sharing happiness to each other.
I have always been a big fan and I am still one.
Pseudo, you can do it. You have a good future ahead, I assure you.

Regarding this:
"I'll probably release a free web version with limited features (unless this seems to be a bad idea), and a Steam version with more features, more quests, and regular updates."

Please inform us where you will be releasing the free versions. I'll be glad to share AFC in other sites haha

About the Steam version, are you going to update it while you're working on your other games? Or will you be deciding things according to feedback?

Anyway, good to see you doing your best!
I'll be here to support you (even in Steam).

I AM SO EXCITED TO TRY Alora Fane! The concept is very refreshing and it gives us players a lot of room for enjoyment!
I AM SO EAGER TO SEE how my imagination will put up my own story! I mean, I have a lot of ideas already in my mind!
Indeed, I AM SO HAPPY YOU ARE BACK and progressing again! Wow! Glad to see my favorite developer motivated!
(I realized I put too many exclamation points but that's just a hint of me being so excited ahaha. keep it up!)

I totally love the entirety of the chapter. I had just started playing the series in late January and I found myself completing the 3rd chapter already. It is a wonderful game, full in itself and very well developed in an agreeable pace with the funny or appropriate dialogues and connections. It also gives an in-depth feeling and you do not just play it through. You also think and dive deep into the experience, which is what a game should be. You get involved in MARDEK and you yourself are changed with the characters. Thumbs up for Pseudo!
