Programon

A reimagining of Beast Signer, using a similar feel and features but with many new ones, too!

Rather than being a stand-alone game, it'd update with new content weekly; probably new monsters and new areas to explore.

Like with Beast Signer, you'd be tasked with venturing into virtual worlds, where monsters - formed by bugs in the code - make the inhabitants' lives awkward. You'd capture and train these monsters!

Notably, the world outside of the turn-based battles is a side-scrolling platformer!

Mind if I give an idea? You mention the player will be tasked with venturing into virtual worlds. Perhaps in each world there could be a form of final boss to each world. The boss monsters would be 2 or more combined forms of final evolution monsters. These bosses could be captured but only have a 1% capture rate depending on the difficulty. These bosses can evolve even further but take much longer to evolve and train. Their final forms could be impossible to obtain unless a certain goal is completed. And if you decide to add the combining function from Beast Signers when these bosses are combined with a normal monster it could create an extremely rare golden monster.

I was a big fan of the original Beast Signer that stayed in it's alpha stage. One feature in the gameplay I really appreciated that made Beast Signer a little different then most monster collector type games was that the trainer him/herself could fight via swords. And I was wondering if that feature will appear in Programon as well?

Hmm. Very interesting but Mardek is better in my opinion.

Sorry for my English, J'm from Poland.

The sad thing is that people who are fluent in English talk in slang and sloppy wording. Makes me cry a little.

Programmon, Miasmon, MARDEK, and FHO, those games are AWESOME, good job A β Pseudolonewolf for making great games! :D
Beast Signer is one of the things that attracted me to go on this site, and this game is just getting better and better!
Can't wait to play those and in case of MARDEK, play the next sequels!

Honestly, Beast Signer is my favorite game on fighunter.com, I like others too, but, if it died, I'd lose my main interest for playing games here, which ive done repeatedly for a few years.. I love this game as it is, moving around like you do in pokemon, and if it turns into programon, which I'm sure will look a little better and have so many things cleaned up and look nice, and it loses that movement system, that feeling of freedom and living and going where you want to go, its not a world of beast signing, its level after level of fight this fight that with a few story captions.. Please don't let this die Pseudolonewolf.

I agree. I loved Beast Signer, and still play the Alpha, enjoying every second, and I become upset when I reach the end. This? This is not Beast Signer. This is completely different. What will happen to the Bulboid? To the Orly? The Brown Stoat? It was a game that never deserved to be abandoned. I miss it so much. Just as a beloved pet can never truly be replaced, this seems like 'filler' for a fallen favorite.

Finally! A game featuring the one and only incredible ∞ Monol! ∞ I always used to play with Monol on the Rancher Monster series! He was such a cool monster, doing cartheels and creating the theory to everything and the recipe for the perfect hotdog (hint: it involves a ton of basil), so I was always sad that he was put out on the sidelines until further notice.... UNTIL NOW.

Thank you Pseudo Poodle, you've made a monster farmer's dream come true.

Beast signer and Miasmon are great, and it's because of their open world-ness that they are what they are, you take that away and its just some 2d game from 20 years ago with monster fights occasionally.. I mean, summed up that is, there are many specific features in it but at its most base form, I think the side scrolling should go and the open-world-ness should come back if you want this to be a real working game.

Considering the fact that there will be obstacles that will hurt when you platform, can you die/collapse while travelling? Can you use your monsters as part of platforming? And will your character actually participate in battles? These are just some questions I have.

Well, this is certainly something I'm looking forward to. I never saw a monster catching platformer before, and I hope that this will soon be completed. Although I'd like to see beast signer, this will definitely more than make up for it. The excitement is building in me for the release (Or at least an alpha)!
