Deliverance

Deliverance was an early game of mine; effectively a precursor to MARDEK. It's sloppily made and poorly-written, in my opinion, and was abandoned a long time ago, unfinished.
Still, if you're interested, it contains many of the features that the original MARDEK games had (since MARDEK was based directly on Deliverance's code), as well as allowing you to create your own custom player character.
There are about 6 hours of play time in it, but then you come to an abrupt stop when there's just not any more to play, so prepare to be disappointed!

I really like this! I love how you can make your own weapon, and if you decided you didn't like it, you could just disassemble it and get all the pieces back. Also the fact that you can take found items and use their properties, or use them and put your old weapon's properties on the new one is really convenient. It's nice to actually be able to keep those kind of weapon abilities with you, instead of regretting upgrading a weaker weapon early on in the game.

The battle music is neat too, I kinda feel like it's a "silly, but serious" kind of theme. Although, that may just be me... And the rest of the music is cool, too. I tried looking for a virtual place to purchase it, but had no luck. I'd gladly buy it!

And when your mouse glows when you select a spell.

That was amazing.

I'm especially fond of the fact of how customizable your character is. Your Name, Face, Stats, Weapons, Spells, I feel like I'm playing an Elder Scrolls game sometimes while playing this.

Although I've only gotten to Chapter 2 so far, I can easily tell that this was very well done, and it must have taken quite a while to think of the mechanics for this game. Although I know it probably won't come out soon, as you are definitely busy with other (probably more important) projects, it will be cool to see a game with similar aspects!

Kudos to Pseudo

Oh, oops! I apologize for sending 2 messages. But I guess I could just replace the 2nd one with an apology for it being there, right? Eh, whatever. Mistakes were made.

For those who didn't notice, you don't have to have Ark as a party member. Simply hit the hidden switch without talking to him and be on your way. Although it is cool to have a wolf party member, some skills of his are bugged, and he can't wear most armor. Not to mention he has a disadvantage in the Air temple/Topaz caves.
(Also, I feel a little odd to point this out, but perhaps Ark is an Aruan protecting a crystal, similarly to Solaar? It also seems they are weak to that witch they protect, if thats the case.)

It's "which", not "witch". And you forgot the apostrophe in "that's".

This game definetly has potential. Pseudo, if you really wanted to you could make this game just as amazing as Mardek.

Does anyone know how the soul trap thing works? I can't for the life of me tell if simply putting the gem in a weapon is enough, or if I have to do something else? If it's the former then can someone tell me how common soul drops are?

You COULD just look it up on zeh wiki. But, since you just want the answer, and not the means of getting said answer, here it is: Most monsters have a soul drop rate of 8%. HAVE FUN PLAYING IT UNTIL IT ENDS!

Thank you very much, now I know I have to go through a ridiculous number of battles before getting anything.

No you don't. You have to go through a ridiculous number of battles to get this: ∞ LINK ∞ It has a drop rate that is less than 1%. (0.7% less than 1, to be exact)

I'm sure it's just a problem with your browser, or some sort of glitch. Try playing the game on a different browser, or try it again.

Hmm... Well, it may be some thing you downloaded on your computer recently. Some things tend to not mix well with old games... (Especially old games poorly coded and programmed, and made with Macromedia/Adobe Flash!)

Well, I just tried it out and it seems that there is only a Load button if there's a Saved Game File, different to how one could expect that the Load button just looks sort of greyish or something in this case. If you had a Saved Game File it is most likely that you don't have it anymore. Maybe you deleted your internet cache stuff accidentally or something?

If you're at the very beginning of that chapter, then you'll need to go back to the main monastery and talk to the High Priest, Rem. He'll then send you on a quest to the Lost Monastery, where you'll have to find something for Rem and bring it back. From there, you'll be able to move on to chapter 3. If you need any more help, or if you need me to be more specific, just ask, I'll be glad to help.

Heads up, though, the boss in chapter 2 is pretty tough if you haven't trained much or learned many magic skills.

Is it just me or is the Rock Mole really hard? I've beaten him before but its been a few years.....might be rusty.

Tips for the Rock Mole:
- If you've gone through the Cave of Trials and looked through the Temple of Earth enough, you SHOULD have DrainFlame and Bolt. Use Bolt on the Rock Mole mainly, and use the DrainFlame when Kerah is low on HP.
-If you want to chop a few DEF off of the Rock Mole by using Excavate, be SURE to use it when the Rock Mole is at full HP, so it doesn't get any harder. (Or you can also optionally create a Fire, Dark or Aether elemental version of it. I'd prefer Dark. (Use the TaintedSoul.))
-You MUST equip the ReptoidMail, GlyphShield (a seperate one from Tattoo's), and the GreenBeads before the fight. I'd also prefer equipping the Snakestone.
-Make a strong weapon with a Topaz in the gem slot. You can take the SilverBlade off of the SilverSword in the Temple of Earth, and buy a Sabre or wait for a Reptoid Zombie or Skeletal Reptoid to drop a DarkKnife/DarkSabre and take the HandGuard off of it.

Hope this helps.

(P.S.: Weapon names: LightngBlade , LightningBld , SwordofSmite )

Wow. I did just that before you posted that. But what I did was give Kerah the Yew wand, which boosts her SPR by 2 (need all I can get) since her main stats are SPR and AGI. I appreciate the help, bro. Thanks.

(Sorry for late response.)

It's easy! You just put a soul in the center, and then put in three reagents of choice, make the name, press "Infuse", and, TA-DA! You made a spell! There is a rule not mentioned in the wiki:

- If there are 2 or more reagents of the same element that don't match up with the soul's element, the spell's element becomes the elements of the two/three reagents. (Say you put in a PureSoul, Mugwort, Jade, and another reagent into a spell, the spell would be Earth-elemental.) (Don't know what happens when there is a reagent same element as soul and two reagents same as each other yet.) (Having two or more None-elemental reagents won't make a None-elemental spell, though.)

The first spell I have made is called "Holy Smite" which I made from a PureSoul, Bone, SlimeJam, and Onyx. It deals 27 - 73 damage, removes 3 DEF, and costs 10 MP.

Yes this game was more awesome than mardek even if its a precursor. Mainly of its weapon and spell editing feature.Mardek could have been more awesome if it had this feature
