Beast Signer

A 'monster collector' RPG, very similar to Pokemon (I love the Pokemon games, and was trying to attempt to emulate them with this... I make no claims of being original).
It's set in a post-apocalyptic era, where people live in a VR world for various reasons! But this world is overrun with rogue AI 'creatures' called 'Beasts', which can't be destroyed but which can be caught and used to destroy eachother... Or something.
Currently, there is an Alpha of an old version playable, but there's not much to it and it isn't represantative of the final version since I'm going to make it from scratch in AS3 at some point.
The NEW version of Beast Signer will be a sort of persistant single player MMO, with new content added on a regular basis. It'll still have a set plot with a beginning and end, but it'll unravel over the course of many months rather than all at once.
Hopefully community involvement will be a big factor too. Though you'd be unable to interact with other players directly in the game due to technical restrictions, you may be able to do things like set up a shop on your userpage to sell in-game items for in-game money, and there'd probably be 'Design a Beast!' contests every so often where the players would vote on submitted designs and the winning one would be added to the game.
It will most likely require a monthly fee to access ALL of the content (that is, there'd be 'Free Accounts' and 'Premium Accounts'), just because it'll be unique to this site and not hosted anywhere else, so I couldn't get a sponsorship. I've yet to plan prices, but worry not; it won't be expensive.

Just found about this game, and too bad it was abandoned [It had potential.] for Miasmon and [especially] Programon. -- Reason being: It's an actually monster training game, where what you do affects how the monster evolves [Similar to digimon], rather then just pet battling [I don't know why Pokemon is so popular, since all you're doing is grinding for levels -- only training aspect is IV/EV, which doesn't even really matter to the story, just the multi-player aspect (guess that's the difference between Single vs Multi)]

Lets hope Miasmon can be as good as this. At least he kept a similar concept.

Guys...This game is Abandoned...I loved this game with the bottom of my heart because no other game except pokeymon was like this and if there is i'm pretty sure its not free and online like this. The first time i played I fell into a trans so deep i collected everything on the game almost and... well... I loved it, I want pseudo to work on it again but he wont so that's that. Now hopefully he completes Miasmon so I can see his epic game making skill back in action; and I always check this site for the updates; but until then all I can do is truly hope...

I like how if you go on the computer at the remnants' camp, and use the internet browser, even www.fighunter.com has been destroyed.

Honestly, Beast Signer is my favorite game on fighunter.com, I like others too, but, if it died, I'd lose my main interest for playing games here, which ive done repeatedly for a few years.. I love this game as it is, moving around like you do in pokemon, and if it turns into programon, which I'm sure will look a little better and have so many things cleaned up and look nice, and it loses that movement system, that feeling of freedom and living and going where you want to go, its not a world of beast signing, its level after level of fight this fight that with a few story captions.. Please don't let this die Pseudolonewolf.

cool game, but needs some fixing. When using a Pheonix drive, it only allows you to use it on the beasts you have out at the present time. There should be a window that opens up, like in Pokemon, or when a beast is K'Oed. it should stay on the screen, just laying down.
also, none of the status remover items work, nor do the ether chips. At least not in battle.

You DO understand that this is the alpha version, don't you? Those bugs and most of the other bugs will be fixed in the complete version.

I know, I was merely observing and recording. I remember reading somewhere from dialog in the game from... Tron, is that his name? To look for glitches and report them, no need to get all explanatory, that's annoying! (as is this post, it annoys me just typing it!)

It's amazing how Pseudo can make a game like this, which isn't much more than a piece of an idea brought to life, and have it bring in over 50,000 plays with minimal content. If he ever actually finished some of the game ideas he devoted two weeks to and then threw into the ever filling vault, he could make a little more money, not to mention the satisfaction of actually finishing something could be a health benefit as well.
None the less, Pseudo has incredible ideas and when brought to fruition, become works of art that I completely respect.

I think this game has great potential and look forward to the final version of it. The one suggestion I would make though would be to include a walkthrough for how to merge the beasts. It would be helpful to know which way the merged creatures would turn out rather than trying to guess whether it is the primary element or the secondary element of the creature's nature will be the deciding factor in the merge.

Perhaps you have already figured out the system by now through trial and error, but in the case that you didn't, I would gladly help!

The primary elements of the beasts contribute to the egg. For example: Djingo (Light/Fire) merged with Grundle (Air/Earth) can either get you the Light/Air egg, or the Air/Light egg.

Your beast can be either placed in the "Primary" or "Secondary" box.
Example: If you place Djingo in the primary box, and Grundle in the secondary box, you will get Light/Air egg. If Grundle is placed as primary and Djingo as secondary, you will get the Air/Light egg.

There are some things that you should keep in mind, however.
Do not merge two beasts with the same secondary element if you want their primary elements to contribute to the egg.

Example: Brown Stoat (Water/Earth) merged with Monitor(Light/Earth.)
Instead of getting a Water/Light egg, that will get you an Earth/Earth egg because Earth is the dominant element here.

Hopefully that wasn't too confusing. (I copied a lot of this information off an old forum post of mine on the original Fighunter website.) Anywho, I hope this helped!

There is a glitch with the first elevator. I walked right through it somehow, and ended up in the area behind it. Might want to fix that when you get back to this game.
