...Hey, I just remembered... there are like 500 racist people at my school! those guys hate Obama JUST cause he's black. Also, to those morons who say the deficit and debt is because of Obama making stupid purchases, your wrong, all this excrement is Bush Sr and Bush Jr's fault. As is the war with Al Qaita, or however its spelled. They sent troops into 3rd world countries for NO F-ING REASON, and that pissed BinLaden off, so he had the twin towers smashed. If Bush Jr had lost the election, we wouldn't be in this damn mess! Oh, wait! Bush HAD lost, but his BROTHER, had demanded a recount, and had come up with that "hanging chad" excrement, and thats how bush got in. AND, republicans brought up the names of dead people, DEAD, DECEASED, GONE, OVER THE HILL, PEOPLE, TO VOTE FOR BUSH, AND NO-ONE SAID A GOD DAMN THING!!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!! ... excuse that out burst, I'm afraid that my, "More Angry" side is coming out now... I'll get off now.

Wow, so partisan. "All this is Bush Sr and Bush Jr's fault." "They sent troops into 3rd world countries for NO F-ING REASON, ..."

Whatarant. Might I point out the real problem was not Bush, or Obama, it's this:

Speaker of the House John Boehner said:
I reject the word compromise.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said:
The single-most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.

It's not the Republicans or Democrats per say, nor is it any particular president, it is the fact that NO ONE IS WILLING TO COMPROMISE. Almost everything major that gets passed is due to a majority shoving things down a minority's throat, and most major things don't have a real solution because of the partisan bickering. The most important thing is winning the next election.

Federalist Papers #10, Madison said:
...a chosen body of citizens [representatives], whose wisdom may best discern the true interest of their country and whose patriotism and love of justice will be least likely to sacrifice it to temporary or partial considerations. ...Men of factious tempers, of local prejudices, or of sinister designs, may, by intrigue, by corruption, or by other means, ...betray the interests of the people.

Seems like we have the latter.

I only read the first paragraph, but I lack the patience to finish the rest, but I get the Idea, and yes, I do rant.(Quite a bit actually, I annoy myself, just reading the post I made) and I apologize for that. But I still blame bush for all of this, and there is absolutely nothing anyone can say to change that.

How can you expext people to take you seriously with language like THAT? Three swears and one almost swear, run on sentences, and misused or missed capitalization do not make me want to understand your point. Why do you think that these 500 people hate Obama specifically because he is black? Did they say so? All presidents make mistakes. Including Obama. Sure, sending troops into these "third world countries" was a bad idea. But the current debt crisis is at least partially Obamas' fault.

Remember that the president actually does not have THAT much power. The US Congress decided to send troops into the middle east, not Bush. He merely authorized it.

I know, but from what I can tell, most of the senate has been republican for a while, meaning that they have the same general mindset. People don't believe me about the senate having the majority of the control, (it's like 90% senate, 1% president, 9% everything else) but what ever... oh, wonderful, my depression is kicking in; isn't that nice? anyway, back on topic, to answer your response, i do not care much for grammar, though, when I'm "More Chipper" I do. Yes, they HAD said that that's why they hate Obama, Yes, I know that all presidents make mistakes, like Obama expecting the mostly republican senate to agree with him on anything. and the debt wouldn't be there in the first place if it wasn't for these dumb, expensive wars.

Control of the Senate tends to go back and forth, but there's been a Democratic majority there for several years. With this last election, control of the House of Representatives has switched from the Democrats to the Republicans, though.

As for the Senate having 90% of the power, that's not really true... It's part of a system called "Checks and Balances", where power is divided fairly evenly between the Legislative (House and Senate), Judicial (Supreme Court) and the Executive (president) branches. The Senate has about half of the power in the legislative branch, with the House of Representatives having the other half. (So the Senate has about 15% percent of the power in the federal government level, maybe?).

Also, the debt can't be blamed solely on the wars; spending on Social Security is always higher than spending on defense, with other categories not far behind. Another thing to consider is that government spending is sort of a slippery slope that has been building up for years, and there's more than one person to blame for it. (No, the national debt did not magically appear during Clinton's or Bush's or Obama's presidency or anything like that.)

I am kind of ambivalent towards Barack Obama. He is not the best president ever, and to be honest I'm sure there are many people who would be better than him, but, for better or for worse, he's the best we (America) have got. Which may be kind of sad, given that he's a moderate conservative, but we make do with what we can, I suppose.
