I have a facebook, but i only really use it to talk to my friend i go to school with. i don't really like it because it has taken over my mom, turned her into a seriously different person She spends hours on it a day. Most of the reason she completely snaps at me is because of something else, but facebook is mainly the only thing she does.
My mom barely pays attention to me, it's pretty sad. Just, it's like this: I'm on the computer all day, mostly watching youtube. She get's home, kicks me off the computer. Uses facebook till 4:00 in the morning, snaps when i talk to her, and ------ WHOA, the topic is starting to disappear. If you wanna know the rest, that's fine, ask if you want. But yeah, Facebook has kinda changed my mom. I kind of like facebook because it has some cool features. Both dislike and like facebook. Also, i'm really sorry for bad spelling, i'm not feeling good.

Hrm. I'm not terribly fond of social networking sites in the first place (I just don't see the point; they aren't very useful to me), but I have never used Facebook and never will. Not necessarily the network itself, but because Mark Zuckerberg is a horrible person (case in point: ∞ LINK ∞ ) and I refuse to support him in any way, shape, or form.

Edit: Argh! I can't figure out how to make hyperlinks for the life of me.

Facebook is pretty much how I keep in touch with some of my old friends and friends that I don't see on a usual basis. Most of Facebook is utterly inane, but that's why you have websites like ∞ LINK ∞ and ∞ LINK ∞ for.

It's also great for planning events and making groups where everyone can hold discussions (see discuss homework problems).

I think Facebook is odd at times, but I have an overall negative view about it. There are some good things about it, but the bad points overweigh the good ones, and I could go on for days talking about them.

The reasons it's good for me is scheduling and messaging others. Nowadays I find that its easier to just message people or make events on Facebook when I want to meet up with other people for a movie or just to hang out with more than three people. It's also good when I miss school due to being sick, because then I can post something as my status and have friends message me on what I missed, without sending out numerous text messages.

That being said, there are a lot of bad things about Facebook also. The apps/games on the site are pointless and stupid because, for one, they involve you waiting around for more energy to complete a task or something along those lines, and two, most of the games don't require skill at all, but for you to pay money for the best items or whatnot.

Also, I have many friends who pour their hearts over Facebook, yet do it in the most cryptic way so that it doesn't make sense. For example, some of my friends that are girls will post a nonsense status every time, like 'You left me alone in the darkness with no way to get out...' or something like that. Now as poetic sounding as that is, it really makes no sense. If you're going to tell us what's wrong, just say it. You don't have to write a cryptic message that no one will get the true meaning of and then expect people to help you.

Then there's the constant changes. Just when I get accustomed to a new Facebook format, they change the entire thing again! That might just be a pet peeve of mine, but I know that all my friends always complain when it happens.

So kudos to you Facebook, for draining people's lives away and making our person lives more open and vulnerable. I salute to thee in the most sarcastic way possible.

The problem's not Facebook, but the people who use it.
A wise man I once knew said: "90% of all humans are stupid fools. I'm allowed to state that, because I will never get the chance to meet them at all."
And Facebook is a small evidence for this statement.
But it's like yelling at someone who just brought bad news to you. He's not responsible for them, but still has to take the responsibility, what is actually very unfair.

I still can blame Facebook in one point. Its "idea" was maybe very nice and honest, but the concept in itself was rotten from the start.
"ONE person is intelligent. A CROWD of people is dangerously stupid."

I have to say, I find it hard to hate Facebook. Sure it does stand for the exact opposite things that this site does, but the main concept of the site is pretty good.
Think about it, you can keep in touch with people easily enough, follow your favourite people (internet celebrities especially), find out things about your friends and there are even a few good games (although you'll have to wade through a hell of a lot of garbage first). There is even a Fighunter group on the site that some "famous" Fighunters are part of, David S, Brock, The Wolf, Unregisterd and many more. Well, 24 more to be exact. I think.

However, I have to admit that I don't really like the way some people use it. They will post stupid things, speak in a way that's impossible to understand, pretending to be people they aren't and generally being annoying. So that's why I haven't got it as a hate or a like, because I'm fairly ambivalent about it.
Just thought I'd let you all know.

I hate to be that person, but I feel a straight up reply is needed here. Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you what happened, I'm just going to point out something that annoys me a little. It's not 100% directed at you, so don't take too much offence from it.

Anyway, that thing that I hate. You mentioned as probably one of the major subjects of your post that something happened to you. That in itself is fine. However, you don't want people to ask about it. Which, again, is absolutely fine. But why put them together? If you don't want to talk about something so strongly that you go into a caps rage, then why bring it up? Surely you could just leave a comment with just that you hate Facebook (which is fine by the way, I hate lots of things that I apparently shouldn't) and maybe something else as well.
Just for the sake of an example, I once saw this conversation on Facebook:
Person 1: I just had the worst day ever
Person 2: What happened?
Person 1: I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!!!

This kind of annoys me somewhat and is mainly seen on Facebook, which is a valid reason anyone could have for hating Facebook.
Again, this isn't a stab at you, but your post did average out at a red with mostly negative ratings, so I might as well voice what everyone else aren't saying (and probably not thinking either).

I'm not going to say "don't rate this", but at least think before you do.
Thank you.
